Okay, so I'm not sure what this movie was about except some bad guys look to get rich by kidnapping the wives/fiances/girlfriends of other bad guys and instead of returning the women they just kill them and dump them. The police aren't looking into the disappearances. The DEA may know what's going on and they just don't care. Neeson's character isn't really given enough depth for me to care about what happens to him. The audience is not given a reason to care for anyone in this movie, the characters fall flat, and they aren't given much of a history.
Even the bad guys aren't really that interesting. I personally wanted to know why they killed or when they started but none of this was developed. It almost felt as if this were half of a movie or as if the script was never fully finished or developed, maybe the most developed parts of this movie were left on the cutting room floor. In fact the most interesting character was a man named, Jonas, who we don't see much of and who doesn't continue throughout the entire film.
I can't say I hated this movie because there were some parts that were humorous or interesting, but I can't say I liked it either. I can say for a hot day when I was looking to kill some time it worked.
