Honestly what is better than getting things for free? Getting things you really, really enjoy for free! I have forgotten every year free comic book day has been going on to actually participate....until this year. I decided to go to as many comic book stores I could and get as many different comics as I could. Luckily I was able to get a copy of THE WALKING DEAD, V WARS, ZOMBIE TRAMPS, and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (which I wanted to look at before the movie came out). I'm excited to read V WARS because not only are the vampires not sexy...they don't sparkle, moon over teenage girls, or sit around all EMO. Scary vampires? Yes please! I've never heard of ZOMBIE TRAMPS but it should be a fun take on zombies. But seriously, the funnest part of the day was meeting Fred of Crazy Fred's Comic Book Lounge. He was fun and we had a nice chat about which movies are and aren't zombie movies (we both agree that 28 DAYS LATER is not technically a zombie movie).
And since I'm updating this blog I'll let you all know that I've started writing book 4, which is temporarily titled THE ANTI-ZOMBIE UNDERGROUND. I have four chapters done, and I'm looking forward to killing a bunch of people. Of course, this will be sad as well since I have come to enjoy some of my characters....especially one most of you don't know yet, but she kicks ass.
